In the sacrament of baptism, we proclaim God's might acts of redemption found through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  You are here, because you are a child of God and want to proclaim your faith through baptism.  At Crossroads we have baptized infants, children, youth and adults through acts of sprinking or full immersion.  We also offer a reaffirmation of your baptism for those who have been baptized but would like to publically reaffirm their commitment to Christ.  We would be honored to be a part of your faith journey as you take your next steps.

Baptism is a public proclamation of our faith.  As a part of that proclamation we will ask those coming forward for baptism, parents, and sponsors the following questions.  As a church, we also will renew our commitment to help you and your family continue to grow on your faith journey. 

Do you renounce the spiritual forces of wickedness, reject the evil powers of this world, and repent of your sin?

Do you accept the freedom and power God gives you to resist evil, injustice, and oppression in whatever forms they present themselves?

Do you confess Jesus Christ as your Savior, put your whole trust in his grace, and promise to serve him as your Lord, in union with the church which Christ has opened to people of all ages, nations, and races?

If the baptism is for a child:

Will you nurture this child (these persons) in Christ's holy church, that by your teaching and example he/she may be guided to accept God's grace for himself/herself, to profess his/her faith openly, and to lead a Christian life?
